Booking Payment & Deposit
At the time of booking, a booking payment of
£75 for 3.5T or £100 for 7.5T is
required. This payment is non-refundable but may be transferred to a
future booking if sufficient notice is given.
In addition, a £200 security deposit is required
for all vehicles. This is taken as a pre-authorisation/card hold,
not an immediate payment. Funds are reserved on your card and will
be released after the hire, or partially/fully captured only if
required under the hire agreement, for example damage, excessive
cleaning, fuel or late return charges.
Cancellations & Refunds
If a booking is cancelled more than 48 hours before the start of
hire, a full refund of all monies paid will be issued.
If a booking is cancelled within 48 hours of the hire start time,
the initial booking payment of £75 for 3.5T or £100 for 7.5T will
not be refunded.
This amount will be carried over to a future booking as a credit.
A voucher will be issued to the customer and may be redeemed
against a future hire, subject to availability.
Driver & Questionnaire Requirements
First-time hirers, or customers who have not hired within the last
3 months, must complete the Millens Hire Questionnaire
LONG Form.
Customers who have hired within the last 3 months may complete the
Millens Hire Questionnaire SHORT Form.

Fuel & Mileage
Fuel level must match on return. A £50 charge plus the cost of
fuel will apply if the vehicle is not returned at the same level.
A maximum of 300 miles per paid day is included. Mileage above
this allowance will be charged at £0.30 per mile.
Vehicles must be returned at the agreed time. Returns more than 30
minutes late may incur a £50 late return charge, unless a valid
reason has been communicated to us at the time the delay occurs, not
retrospectively.
Insurance & Liability
The insurance excess is £400.
Vehicles or cars left at our premises are left entirely at the
hirer’s own risk.
Emissions & Road Charges
Hirers are responsible for any emission zone, congestion charge,
clean air zone or similar fees incurred during the hire period.
Additional Services
Vehicle delivery and collection is charged at £1 per mile,
calculated at four times the distance from TN20 6LL to your address
when both delivery and collection are required.
